  Very small wildlife park. we arrived at 230pm and had until 4pm to explore- we were done by 330pm. It's quite small and predominantly birds. There are koalas, dingoes, roos/wallabies and Tasmanian Devils too. Most of it was OK but was very sad to see two wedge tailed eagles in a small caged area- these birds soar high and proud where I live. There seems to be some construction occurring- a reptile house, but incomplete at the moment. Perhaps an animal experience or show would make it a longer experience. Like others have said it was a bit underwhelming. Staff were friendly and happy to chat to the students about the birds.

  What a great wildlife park. There were plenty of animals to see in wide open space that is very comparable with Healesville Sanctuary. There is a cafe that is maybe a bit pricey and a shop with bits and pieces. It was a joy Le three hours spent there and doing two of the four shows on offer. Good areas for the kids to run around in whilst having lunch

  As a family we had an excellent behind the scenes experience. It was nice to see some animals closer than we could otherwise, the children were very much included. We are so glad we did this as it was something special we could share. The staff are very passionate about the care of the animals and ensuring everyone enjoys the experience. Well done.

  We've visited all of the farm yards on the Peninsula and I have to say that I was underwhelmed by Moonlit Sanctuary. We found it difficult to find a shady spot for a picnic and we waited over 20 minutes for hot chips at their café. We much prefer the 'hands on' farm yards where you can interact with the animals, such as the Funky Farm and The Big Goose. Honestly, I would rather take the time to drive to Melbourne Zoo.

  We bought a behind the scenes tour in addition to our general entry and it was amazing!! We got to enter several enclosures and see animals that we wouldn’t have without the tour - it was absolutely worth the extra money to have such a personal experience. All the keepers we met, including our guide Olly, were super friendly and clearly passionate about the animals in their care. We also enjoyed the rest of the park and the shows that they run at regular intervals.

  We enjoyed a delightful day at the Moonlit Sanctuary today (Friday). The weather was pleasant, there weren't very many people there, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the animals were wonderful. It was low-key and easy to get around on the pathways. We had a close encounter with Gumnut, an adorable koala, fed the wallabies and kangaroos by hand, and learned so much about threatened species. We had great close up views of birds, a Tasmanian devil, dingoes, emu, wombat, and reptiles. Claudia gave a very informative reptile presentation. We spent about three and a half hours walking around, including a break for lunch at the cafe. We noticed many families with young children who also enjoyed the play area with animal structures to climb on. The gift shop was opened and we purchased a T-shirt. We highly recommend this sanctuary to everyone.

  The Moonlit Sanctuary was something I’d been looking forward to for over a year because I wanted to spend time with a koala. I love these furry little creatures! At Moonlit Sanctuary we got to play with kangaroos, wombats, koalas, Tasmanian Devils, and more. In addition, they have several types of reptiles and birds, including cockatoos, parrots and kookaburra. The kangaroos and wallabies are running around loose, and you can pet them and feed them. Pet them on their chest… they LOVE it! They were absolutely adorable and we couldn’t get enough! What I was looking forward to, and I enjoyed the most, was our koala encounter! We were able to get up close and cuddle with a koala as the guide took lots and lots of photos! Those few minutes created a lifetime of awesome memories! I will warn you, though… you’ll want to bring one home for yourself!

  Our tour guide heard about this sanctuary being a good place to see wildlife of Australia. This proved to be an understatement of how wonderful the place is. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of the animals and birds native to the Australian habitats. Many of the animals can be approached closely so that one could feel that they are at hand's reach with the animals. This is a "must see" for anyone wanting to experience the wildlife of Australia.

  If you are traveling in the area, be sure to stop by this sanctuary. The staff was very attentive to the animals and you can also feed them and pet them Had the best day ever ! Alan

  on our way to the penguin encounter ,this facility was included.this was a delightful stop on our journey to phillip island.our adventure started with a nice lunch,chicken served in link form,the chicken was shaped like a sausage link .it was rather tasty along with pasta salad ,onions and bread .a fine start to our day.the park was not large and can be covered in around an hour but you will not be able to see any of the small shows or feedings.the koala were in 3 different enclosures so yoiu get to see the kolas in groups and some with only one kola.usually you see them hugging the tree but these were walking around the branches .some i believed were just posing for pictures.it is unusual t o see them so animated.some birds were enclosures .the kangaroos and wallabies were roaming freely and hopped over to eat food which were purchased upon entry into the park.the geese and ducks also enjoyed the food,all of the animal had no fear of the humans and gladly eat out of our hands.there was a group of large and i mean large roos who sat at back wall and made no effort to eat food from our hands and for this i was grateful.these roos were just lounging about and i would say they would be at lest 4 to 5 ft tall if they stood up.they had dingos in a rather large enclosure but a group was given an up close tour directly into to the enclosure and were petting one dingo.i,unfortunately was not one of them.were really enjoyed this stop.if we were not in a group with limited time i would have signed up for a more detailed tour with the park employees,
